We are currently taking bookings for the courses beginning in the Autumn for academic year 2011/2012. We have received a few queries recently and wanted to post up some more information that may help you when finalising the details for your booking. 1 - Will the courses definitely run?The courses need a minimum number of people to run in each of our venues.

We now have a range of high quality and smart polo shirts for you to wear on our courses and in your professional massage work. They are white with the words "SPS Sports Massage Practitioner" in green writing. There are a range of sizes to suit everyone: Small (36"), Medium (38"), Large (40") and Extra Large (42").
We are delighted to have found a fantastic new venue for the launch of our Massage in a Sports Environment Course (UCAPD) in the South East. The venue is within easy reach of London, Brighton and Kent and offers excellent teaching, as well as leisure facilities.
Following the collation of the questionnaire results that we sent out before Christmas, we have been working hard to meet your training requirements for the year ahead! We are delighted to be able to inform you that we are now offering a much wider range of courses based on your feedback and in locations that are more convenient for you to get to.
With effect from 1st October 2009, there have been changes to First Aid training. The 'Appointed Person' one day training course has ceased and been re-titled Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW). The syllabus remains much the same and the qualification lasts for 3 years, however, it is recommended that a half-day refresher is completed annually.
Expert Swiss Ball training - Get On The Ball, the internationally recognised Swiss Ball Training concept, is now opening courses to fitness professionals for the first time. Get On The Ball has trained thousands of practitioners over the past ten years, and its concepts are used with a vast array of clients including the Royal Marines, professional football clubs and Olympic athletes, through to community back care programmes and elderly falls prevention.
Change to Law - Changes to the law and rules of the Financial Services Agency (FSA), mean that insurance provisions previously only available through professional organisations, must now be made available direct to the individual. For the practitioner, this means that it is no longer necessary to be a member of a professional body in order to access full professional indemity and public liability insurance.

This month sees the launch of new courses in Cardiff, Nottingham and Gloucester, which will result in students being awarded a University Certificate of Advanced Professional Development (UCAPD) - Massage in a Sports Environment, by the University of Teesside.
