A sports masseur was handed a red card by match officials following a fracas in the tunnel at the end of a match in the Scottish Premiership yesterday. Details are sketchy and it is not clear whether he will be banned from the bench or banned from his bench?!
New National Occupational Standards (NOS) relating to sports massage have been recently announced. D520 – Plan, apply and evaluate massage methods. D521 – Plan, apply and evaluate massage methods to prevent and manage injury. D522 – Plan, apply and evaluate complex massage/soft tissue methods.
